Using the Human Genome, genetic information can be used to identify criminals based on their fingerprints or trace of blood. And as mentioned, the Human Genome can also give individuals data on the diseases that they have or may be diagnosed with in the future.

 

The Human Genome will give humans access to the genetic information of individuals. But this can lead to issues relating to human rights. If an individual does not want to give away their genetic information, will they be able to refuse this? Not being given a choice on research of genetic information is considered as invading the privacy of people. (5.3)

people can give others, such as employers, a certain perspective on individuals and can affect their opinions on them. This may or many not impact the decisions that people make based on another person's genetic information. (5.1)

New technologies for genetics will need to be implied into medical clinics. After research is conducted on the human genome, healthcare professionals, students, professors, and the public must be educated on the information discovered. (5.2)
